Our Owl class dove into literacy this week with a joyful and imaginative exploration of the letter J through a creative J is for Jellyfish art activity. As part of a thoughtful Guided Experience (G), teachers introduced the uppercase and lowercase J, practiced the J sound, and shared pictures and stories about real jellyfish. Students noticed how jellyfish move, what they look like, and what makes them unique in the ocean.

Say it, Build it, Count it! Exploring the Number 4

Math became hands-on and full of creativity as our Owl class explored the number 4 through a playful and engaging Say It, Build It, Count It activity. Teachers led the class through a Guided Experience (G) by introducing the number visually, practicing with fingers, and modeling how to roll playdough into a shape resembling the number 4. Students then formed four small balls, proudly counting them one by one.

Pumpkin Painting: Creative Fall Fun

Pumpkin Painting Free Art was a joyful guided experience that gave our Deer and Fox class friends the chance to explore their creativity and imagination this harvest season. Each child brought in their own pumpkin and received art supplies and step-by-step encouragement from their teachers on how to turn it into a colorful masterpiece.

Pre-K Taste Experiment: Discovering God's Good Gifts

Our Deer and Fox students recently explored the sense of taste in a fun and meaningful way. Using small samples of sweet apples, salty pretzels, and sour lemons, the children experienced how God created our tongues to notice and enjoy different flavors. Laughter and wide-eyed reactions filled the room as they compared each new taste—some loved the sweet, some enjoyed the salty, and almost everyone made a silly face when they tried the sour!

"F is for Feathers": Learning Gentleness in God's Way

Our Raccoon learners recently floated into a soft and special lesson — “F is for Feathers!” This week, our twoyearolds explored the letter F through touch, sight, and sound, discovering that learning can be as light and joyful as a feather itself! During their Guided Experience, students gathered in a cozy circle to meet the letter F — tracing it with their fingers, saying “F says fff,” and giggling as real and craft feathers drifted through the air. They practiced using gentle hands to touch and feel each feather’s softness while learning new descriptive words like “fluffy,” “smooth,” and “light.”

Pumpkin Patch on the Farm: Growing in God's Love

Our Raccoon Class recently enjoyed a joyful fall adventure during our Pumpkin Patch on the Farm week — a celebration of God’s beautiful creation and how He helps us grow! Through hands-on exploration, children got to touch, hold, and smell real pumpkins, discovering their unique shapes, sizes, and textures. As part of their Guided Experience, they scooped seeds, sorted pumpkins by color, and reflected on how just like pumpkins grow with sunshine and care, God helps us grow too! (2 Peter 3:18).

Celebrating our Special Names

In our after-school Dance Conservatory classes (ages 2–10), students are introduced to the beauty of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Hip-Hop.
