Mrs. Lopez brings a wealth of experience to the elementary program having taught TK, Kindergarten, Second, and Fifth Grade. In addition to her 13 years as an elementary educator, she has served as a summer camp director for one of the largest camps in the San Fernando Valley, creating a summer leadership program for students in middle and high school, and managing programs for children from preschool to eighth grade. Along with her teaching duties at WVCS, she also co-directs the Elementary Program, specifically providing guidance and mentorship to the teachers and evaluating best practices. Mrs. Lopez graduated from California State University Northridge with a BA in Child and Adolescent Development with an emphasis in Applied Developmental Science and a minor in English. She received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUN as well. Mrs. Lopez is passionate about creating life-long learners and approaches every subject with energy to help her students get excited about learning. 5th Grade Summer Letter |
