The World of Shapes - Our Diamond Fish Craft!
February 16th, 2025
Our recent shape study took an exciting twist as the children dived into a fun and imaginative “diamond fish” craft! While learning about the diamond shape, the students transformed their cut-out diamonds into vibrant, colorful fish. This hands-on activity not only reinforced their understanding of shapes but also opened up a world of creativity as they explored colors and textures. Along the way, we introduced basic concepts of marine life, reminding the children of the beauty and complexity of God’s creation—from the tiniest fish to the vast, mysterious oceans.
As the children worked on their diamond fish, they practiced recognizing and identifying the diamond shape in a playful, engaging way. By cutting out diamonds and turning them into fish, the students saw how shapes can be used in various creative contexts. This activity allowed them to see the diamond shape in a new light and connect it to the world around them.
