Feeding the Animals - Growing in God's Love
February 16th, 2025
Our Busy Bees had an exciting and colorful adventure with a hands-on activity called “Feeding the Animals!” Each child received their own vibrant tray filled with colorful sprinkles, a spoon, and a variety of adorable animal cups. The challenge? To carefully scoop up the sprinkles and “feed” the animals by placing them into the small openings which were little mouths! At first glance, this may have seemed like simple fun, but this activity was actually helping our preschoolers develop important early learning skills. As they scooped, balanced, and poured, they strengthened their fine motor muscles—essential for future writing and self-care tasks like buttoning and zipping. They also practiced patience, hand-eye coordination, and focus as they worked carefully to complete their feeding challenge.
